Travel to Amie and Mark's, and Mason, Tyler, and Natie
We needed to be in Chino to tag team the grand kids who were becoming off-track from year-around school on Feb 27, 2023. Due to weather prediction of impending sub-zero temperatures and snow on the day we had planned to leave (2.22.2023) we accelerated our leave date up to Feb 19. We loaded the truck in balmy 50 deg weather on Saturday. By leaving early, we hoped to be able to be one day ahead of very cold snow storms or weather.
RC - beautiful weather driving towards CO, but SD got snow and sub-zero weather the 2nd day after we left (-6 deg for high)
Denver - beautiful weather, but lots of wind from there thru Vail towards Green River. Snowstorm at top of mountain caused about 2 hours longer for the day.
Green River, Utah. During trip next day, we encountered high winds on way to St. George Utah and Las Vegas, NV. Got to St George about 1:30 pm as we stopped for lunch at Cracker Barrel. Stayed overnight in Barstow at 8:30 pm after fighting wind all day.
Barstow, CA - windy and cool, low 40’s.
Chino, CA - nice balmy 50s and windy. Expecting rain for 48 hours starting Friday.
Special Challenges this Time: Wind, Rising Price of Gasoline, food, and lodging.
Arrived at Amie's on Feb 22, 2023.

Left on Saturday - April 1, 2023. Drove to Flagstaff, Az.
Next day stopped in Las Vegas, NM.
Next day stopped at Josh and Dierdra's. Spend 3 days there waiting for blizzard in the Black Hills to subside. Drove home on Friday April 7, 2023.
