Percussion Cabinet for New Horizons Band


Project:  Percussion Cabinet to store all sorts of Percussion Items at the Canyon Lake Senior Center
in Rapid City, SD

Timeline:

    Procurement of Plywood:  Dec 9,  2017

Staining on a Sunny Day in January
[Early American - Old Masters Gel Stain]













Finishing

The cabinet was stained with EARLY AMERICAN gel stain by OLD MASTERS.
 The finish was two coats of Wipe on Poly Rub applied by hand with a rag. Thursday Jan 25th




Jewelry


Bass Clef - sign cut from 1/8" plywood on Hegner Scrollsaw


Door Handles - made from recycled drumsticks and 1/2" copper Tees.



Treble Clef - sign cut from 1/8" plywood on Hegner Scrollsaw

Secure clef signs to door with clear glue and green tape;  clamp the parts using bricks covered with masking tape.  When glue is dry, add nails using pin nailer.








Carpet


A shag carpet remnant was trimmed to fit on the top shelf.
