The theme for this year's 11th Annual Woodworking Show is: Anything Trucks!
So, I am building five new trucks, based on plans from Australia. The trucks being built include:
- Tow Truck
- Stake Bed Truck
- Stake Bed Truck with variations
- Flatbed Truck No. 1
- Flatbed Truck No. 2
The plans came from a company called Aschi's Workshop in Australia. They are written in English with some US English translations required. The plans for the most part are very accurate. The measurements are in metric with inches in parentheses. What I found missing was an Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) to help identify the parts and description and quantity in their location in the model. I developed an IPB tying each physical part to a Letter marked on the part shown in the purchased plans. The IPB lists the part by name, and by size (in inches), and quantity.
The Plans for the Motor, the Cabin, and the Frame are used on all 5 models. There are some common parts on the rear end of the Tow Truck that are used on all other models. The IPB details how many of each part is required.
